FUN FACT: Why Does Ethiopia have an extra month in the year?

Ethiopia has 13 months in a year because its calendar is based on the ancient Coptic and Julian solar-lunar systems, which mathematically divide the year into exactly 12 months of 30 days each, with the remaining 5 or 6 “leftover” days grouped into a short 13th month known as Pagumē.
